This summary is here to help. The full text below is what applies.
Who we are and what this covers
Stickvenir (“we,” “us,” or “our”) designs and sells illustrated souvenir stickers to travelers and to the shops, hotels, museums, and other businesses that carry them.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit stickvenir.com, request a sample or wholesale information, buy our stickers through our online shop or eBay, or hear from us about carrying Stickvenir. It works alongside our Terms of Service.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Sample and wholesale requests. Your name, business name, business email, business type, and city and country. You can also choose to share a phone number, website, and message. If you use our sample order page, we also ask for a mailing address so we can send your sample.
- Orders. When you buy through our online shop or eBay, we receive what we need to fulfill your order, such as your name, shipping address, email, and what you bought. Payments are handled by Shopify or eBay, and we never see your full card details.
- Messages. Anything you include when you email us or reply to our emails.
Business contact information from other sources
To find businesses that might like to carry our stickers, such as gift shops, hotels, and museums, we collect business contact information from public sources, like business websites, online directories, and map listings, and from providers of business contact data. This can include a business’s name, address, phone number, website, and general email and, for people in buying or management roles, their name, job title, work email, work phone, and professional profile link.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, and when. This keeps the website running and secure.
- Email activity. When we send you an email, our email provider records whether it was delivered, and may record whether it was opened and which links were clicked.
We don’t use analytics services, advertising pixels, or other tools that track you across websites.
How we use your information
- To answer your request. We use the details you send in a sample or wholesale request only to respond to that request: sending your sample, discussing a possible order, and keeping a record of it. We don’t add them to marketing lists.
- To fulfill orders. Shipping your stickers, customer service, and replacements or refunds.
- To reach businesses. Contacting businesses about carrying Stickvenir and following up on those conversations. See Emails to businesses.
- To run and protect the website. Keeping it working, secure, and free of abuse.
- To meet legal obligations. For example, keeping tax and accounting records or responding to lawful requests.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for targeted advertising.
Emails to businesses
If your business could be a good fit for our stickers, we may email you at your business address to introduce Stickvenir, offer a sample, or follow up. These emails relate to your business, and each one is sent individually by our team.
If you’d rather not hear from us, reply to any of our emails or write to hello@stickvenir.com and let us know. We’ll stop within 10 business days, and we’ll keep a short note of your email address so we don’t contact you again by mistake.
Where your information is stored
Our service providers store and process information mainly in the United States. If you live elsewhere, including in Canada, your information will be processed in the United States and may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities there under U.S. law.
How long we keep it
- Requests and correspondence: while we’re in touch or working together, and for a reasonable period afterward for our records.
- Orders: as long as needed to handle the order and to meet tax and accounting requirements.
- Business contact information: until it’s no longer relevant to our outreach, or until you ask us to delete it.
- Opt-out requests: kept so we can keep honoring them.
- Server logs: kept for a short time by our hosting provider.
When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How we protect it
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, including limiting access to the people who run Stickvenir and using established providers that encrypt data in transit. No website or system is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we’ll notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that’s wrong or out of date;
- delete your information;
- stop contacting you, or stop using your information for a particular purpose; and
- withdraw any consent you’ve given.
To make a request, email hello@stickvenir.com. We may need to confirm your identity, usually by replying to the email address we have on file, and we’ll respond within 30 days. We won’t treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Depending on where you live, for example California or another U.S. state, or a Canadian province such as Quebec, you may have additional rights under local law. You can also complain to your local privacy regulator, such as the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or Quebec’s Commission d’accès à l’information, though we’d appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
The person responsible for privacy at Stickvenir can be reached at hello@stickvenir.com.
Children
Our website is meant for a general audience and for businesses, and it isn’t directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our business or the law changes. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and we’ll make significant changes clear on the website.
